Mood journal · Early access

One day is a data point. Ninety days are a pattern.

Ninety days of mornings and evenings, printed on one page for your next appointment.

No account needed. Works on your device, free, for as long as you want.

Year viewExample data
The year view: twelve months of example entries as one grid, each day a coloured square, with a running average beside every month and 207 of 365 days logged.
The year view: twelve months of example entries as one grid, each day a coloured square, with a running average beside every month and 207 of 365 days logged.
Every coloured square is one logged day. Days you don't log stay become their own state — a gap is information too.

01How it works

Log a morning, an evening or a whole day

Pick a mood for the morning, the evening, or the whole day. You can also add a freeform or structured note. It's meant to be something you can still do on your worst days, not just your best.

Track

Single entry

Seven preset levels, from Crisis to Great. A freeform note for free-flow journaling or structured fields to get started.

See

Four views

Day, week, month, year. Patterns show up at a distance that are invisible up close.

Share

Built for the appointment

Export a record instead of trying to reconstruct six weeks from memory in a fifteen-minute visit.

02The split

A day with two halves.

A morning can be rough, but you might still have a great evening

Day viewExample entry
The day entry screen: one large square for the day, separate AM and PM rows of the seven mood levels, and structured fields for sleep, medication, social contact, exercise, stressful events and routine changes.

AM and PM are set separately.

03The entry

A note that holds more than a sentence.

Write freeform when you want to. Switch to structured when you need the prompts to get started.

Any note can be marked private. Private notes stay out of the printed summary, and the summary says how many were held back. Never which.

Structured fields6 fields
Sleep
Hours, on a slider.
Medication
Name, amount, unit and time.
Social
Stayed in, saw friends, a work event, a text.
Exercise
Intensity, activity, minutes.
Stressful event
An argument, a deadline, bad news. Blank if none.
Routine change
New job, moved, shift change. Blank if none.

04Patterns

Four views, same history.

Day, week, month, year — the same entries at four scales. A daily journal. A week shows what's been happening lately. A month at a time. A year shows the shape of all of it.

Memory can be faulty. A low stretch makes the past look worse than it was, a good one can make a hard month feel like it never happened. You might find a low period you'd forgotten, or see that a change you remember as sudden was actually gradual.

Month viewExample data
The month view for June: a calendar of example entries, most days a single colour, several split diagonally where the morning and the evening differed, and a few left empty.
Week viewExample data
The week view: two weeks of example entries side by side as large squares, each labelled with its date, with an average for each week.
The same month, year and day views on a phone-sized screen, laid out in a single column.
Optimized for mobile.

05Export

Your record, in a form your doctor can read.

Appointments are short, memory is patchy. Humeur's summary month grids, the mood scale, your notes — on paper, in order. Saves you time trying to remember in your clinician's office.

Notes stay out unless you choose to include them, and you can decide note by note. The printed page says how many you withheld. Never which.

Free on every plan, including if you cancel.

Data files always contain your full history, whatever range is on screen.

A mood history is a medical record about you. It's never behind a paywall.

06Privacy

Humeur can't read your entries.

CapabilityWhat it does

Your entries are encrypted on your device before they're sent anywhere. What reaches the server is illegible — not by policy, but because the decryption key never leaves your device.

Getting back inRecovery

You get a recovery code at signup — the one way back to restore your notes if you reset your password. On a device you trust, you can stay unlocked for 30 days instead of entering your password every visit.

The limitStill visible

What's still visible on the server: that your account exists, and which dates you have entries on. Not what's in them.

The costThe trade

The trade: if you lose your password and your recovery code, nobody can recover your entries.

07Providers

And if you don't have a provider yet.

Search by city or postal code. Filter by the kind of help you need and by distance, from 5 km out to 125.

Below them, 36 providers within 10 km — the first two listed with their type, street address, distance, phone number and a link to their website.

The usual business model for a free mental-health app is the data. Two dollars a month is the reason Humeur doesn't need yours.

10Crisis support

Support is one tap away, always.

Crisis lines for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand — with a worldwide directory for everywhere else, and your local emergency number alongside. Free on every plan, never gated, never behind a sign-up.

Humeur is not a crisis service and nobody monitors your entries. When you log a Crisis-level day, it offers the resources rather than interrupting you.
